feel refreshed today, over the weekend I managed to get in total 26 hours sleep, it was required I averaged 3 hours a night last week, the cause of obtaining so much sleep though was a hangover which I am sure most people can relate to. I managed to get all of my pressing work done on Saturday which didn’t make me feel too bad about sleeping the whole of Sunday
I made and baked over 36 wine glasses at the weekend, completed my work orders, I was going to not drink Saturday night for my friends birthday but as she works silly shift patterns too I swayed myself by saying it was an opportunity that may not arise again until 2012 so better go with it.
THE EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL-RESEARCH
Overall improvement in mood and possible euphoria
Increased self-confidence
Increased sociability
Shortened attention span
Flushed appearance
Impaired judgment
Impaired fine muscle coordination
Impaired memory and comprehension
I can relate to what is said above and I can vouch that those are indeed the effects of alcohol
MY Top 5 vague memories from Saturday night- (putting the effects into examples;)
1. Actually thinking I can break dance - this is predictable it happens most nights I am out, I seen the X factor once and really liked twist and pulse... for some reason my brain tries to rein act the routine.
(Impaired fine muscle coordination , Increased self-confidence , Impaired memory and comprehension)
2. Poking random people to see what the reaction was... some people got it... some people didn’t...
(Increased self-confidence Increased sociability )
3. Playing out my sons smurf dance... people’s reaction lead me to believe that only me and my son share the same humour.
(Increased self-confidence Increased sociability, Impaired judgment )
4. At the end of the night ordering a burger asking for extra mayo (bad move-) there was so much mayo on there that every time I took a bite of the burger my friends husband had to wipe my mouth with a napkin... we were laughing a lot about this at the time but on suicide sunday the laughter turned into shame.
(Impaired judgment ,Impaired fine muscle coordination)
5. Black cab- As I go to get out of the black cab I stood up (very stupid they look spacious inside but in fact they are not) this meant I had a little concussion from hitting my head on the taxi roof, it wasn’t even like I attempted to get out slowly, my friends thought this was funny, I just found it embarrassing.
(Shortened attention span ,Flushed appearance ,Impaired judgment ,Impaired fine muscle coordination ,Impaired memory and comprehension) but it was ok because the other effect of alcohol ( improvement in mood and possible euphoria ) meant I shortly found the funny side…
I’m sure the above are all elements that are contributing to my ‘single’ status. Who on earth would want to date a girl that thinks doing a smurf dance in public is funny or the fact the same girl can not complete a simple task unaided (like eat a burger, my three year old son can do this better then me) .
Sam cam home last night and we played on Mario, another indication I had too much alcohol is I lost so bad and had to put up with the looser dance way too much for my liking!
So the eye bags have gone a tiny bit from me going into a coma at the weekend and I have plenty of work to do today and a networking event with the pink roses this evening. Start the week off busy!
Have a great start to your week xx
